Art Scarf from my original pastel painting, ”Yaquina Bay Bridge, Oregon”

Wrap yourself in wearable art!

My desire to clothe myself in fine art inspired the design of this scarf using my original pastel painting, ”Yaquina Bay Bridge, Oregon”. The colors of the Oregon sunset ripple and glow along the length of the scarf.  The bridge crosses Yaquina Bay estuary, and has framed many an Oregon coast sunset since its opening in 1936, during the Great Depression. Designer Conde McCullough used Art Deco and Art Moderne design motifs as well as forms borrowed from Gothic architecture. The Gothic influence is seen in the balustrade, which features small pointed arches, and in the arches of the side span piers.

The colors of Trillium Lake ripple and glow along the length of the scarf.  Above is majestic Mount Hood at an elevation of 3,600 feet, nestled in a shady, mixed conifer forest.   Below is the reflection of Oregon’s highest peak.

My desire to clothe myself in fine art inspired the design of this scarf using my original watercolor, “Mount Hood’s Starry Crown”.  Mount Hood glistens under the Aurora Borealis and the stars above scatter down the length of this 70” scarf.

From my home, I can see this rugged Cascade peak cloaked in white that rises above Portland’s skyline, and I was inspired to paint it.
