Wrap yourself in wearable art!
My desire to clothe myself in fine art inspired the design
of this scarf using my original pastel painting, ”Yaquina Bay Bridge, Oregon”.
The colors of the Oregon sunset ripple and glow along the length of the scarf. The bridge crosses Yaquina Bay estuary, and
has framed many an Oregon coast sunset since its opening in 1936, during the
Great Depression. Designer Conde McCullough used Art Deco and Art Moderne
design motifs as well as forms borrowed from Gothic architecture. The Gothic
influence is seen in the balustrade, which features small pointed arches, and
in the arches of the side span piers.
